5 Reasons Why Jehovah May Allow Certain Problems

1. Jehovah may allow some problems to help DIRECT you. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivateus to change. Is God trying to get your attention? Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways. Proverb 20:30 - Bruising wounds are what scours away the bad; and strokes, the innermost parts of the belly.

2. Jehovah may allow some problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags, if you want to know what's inside of them, just drop them in hot water. Has your faith ever been tested with a problem? What do problems reveal about you? When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be filled with joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith and this will give you patience. James 1: 2-3 - Consider it all joy, my brothers, when YOU meet with various trials, knowing as YOU do that this tested quality of YOUR faith works out endurance.

3. Jehovah may allow some problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's like as a child, your parents told you don't touch the hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something whether it's health, money, or a relationship by losing it. It was the best thing that could have happened to you, for it taught you to pay attention to Jehovah laws. Psalm 119:71-72 - It is good for me that I have been afflicted, In order that I may learn your regulations. The law of your mouth is good for me. More so than thousands of pieces of gold and silver.

4. Jehovah may allow some problems to PROTECT you. Problems can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Forexample you may be fired for refusing to do something unethical that your boss has asked you to do. Unemployment is a problem - but it may save you from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's action are eventually discovered. Genesis 50:20 - 20 As for YOU, YOU had evil in mind against me. God had it in mind for good for the purpose of acting as at this day to preserve many people alive.

5. Jehovah may allow some problems to PERFECT you. Problems when responded to correctly, are character builders. Jehovah is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship with Jehovah and your character are two of the most important things a Christian has. We can rejoice when we run into problems, they help us to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us to trust Jehovah more each time until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Romans 5:3-4- And not only that, but let us exult while in tribulation, since we know that tribulation produces endurance; endurance, in turn, an approvedcondition; the approved condition, in turn, hope.

....I hope you find these words encouraging!
